Managing DirectorStephen Clarke started SCC back in May 2003. Prior to this, Stephen worked with Philip Downie and Associates and subsequently White Young Green.
Stephen Clarke is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, Member of the Institution of Engineers Ireland, Member of the Academy of Experts to name a few!
He has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, most of which have been as a Building Services Consulting Engineer. He has spent a considerable amount of time reviewing electrical and mechanical installations of all degrees of complexity.
In his free time Stephen loves travelling around the UK and Europe in his motorhome and spending time with his 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

Director
Laura oversees all business operations including, marketing, office management, accounts, HR, bid writing and quality to name a few. Laura graduated from the University of Ulster in 2011 and began her career at a pharmaceutical company before moving to the aerospace industry in 2013. Laura started SCC in 2015 as an Office Manager. In her spare time Laura enjoys travelling around the UK and Ireland with her husband in their Tentbox, training with Coast Fitness and Mantrailing (searching for lost people) with her two dogs.

AssociateAlex joined SCC in 2016 and has experience in all industry sectors. Alex is highly regarded in the industry and has developed strong client relationships. As a valued member of our team Alex has a keen interest in making a project look aesthetically pleasing with his designs and enjoys working on projects with exposed services and making these look like the features of the building. Alex enjoys working with and designing new technologies and renewables and is innovative with his designs and enjoys solving complex problems with design teams. In his spare time Alex loves spending time with his young family, taking his motorbike to track days and cooking.

Principal Mechanical EngineerTom joined SCC in 2016 and has 16 years’ experience in the industry. Tom is a professional and competent engineer with a keen interest in anything engineering but specifically renewable energy, the environmental impact of building services, sustainability and new technology. Tom specialises in designing HVAC systems and renewables and has a vast knowledge in these areas. In his spare time Tom enjoys Motorsport, hiking, cycling, photography, drone photography, home DIY and working on his bikes and truck.

Senior Mechanical Engineer/Commissioning ManagerAaron is an experienced Mechanical Engineer who joined SCC in 2018. Aaron has a keen interest in upcoming heating strategies and new technology coming onto the market. Aaron is a keen advocate of sustainable agriculture and providing sustainable solutions with new technologies in this area. He enjoys working as part of a design team and particularly enjoys managing projects on site and having that interaction and problem solving with the team. In Aarons spare time he helps his dad on their farm and plays football with his local team.

Electrical EngineerChris started with SCC in 2021 as an Electrical Engineer. Chris graduated in 2018 from the University of Ulster and previously worked for a BMS/ HVAC contractor carrying out maintenance, installations and servicing. Chris has progressed as an Electrical Engineer and enjoys working being on site, working with clients and contractors. In his spare time, Chris enjoys gaming and collecting Lego.

Graduate EngineerJames was one of our placement students from the University of Ulster whilst studying Architectural Engineering. He has finished his degree and decided to stay with us in full time employment as one of our Graduate Engineers. James has a keen interest in mechanical engineering and renewable energy which he is keen to pursue now he has graduated. Outside of work James plays Gaelic Football for his local team, enjoys going to the gym, travelling and cooking.

Graduate Electrical Engineer
Ryan joined SCC in September 2024 after completing his Degree in Architectural Engineering at the University of Ulster. Ryan has extensive knowledge on our software Revit and is adding value to the team with shortcuts and families. Ryan enjoys playing for his local GAA team in his spare time and playing Golf.

Mechanical EngineerShea is a mechanical engineer who joined SCC in 2020 as a Placement Student. Shea was offered a full-time position in 2021 and has since finished his degree part time in 2023 with a First Class Honours. Shea enjoys working on all our software packages, has excellent Revit capabilities and enjoys designing projects in the office. In his spare time Shea loves playing chess and looking after his parrot Paco.

Office Manager & PA to DirectorsBethany joined SCC in 2021 as an Office Administrator and is now our Office Manager & PA to Directors. Before working with SCC Bethany worked as a care worker in the community. Bethany, especially in the last year has taken on more important roles in the business including accounts, payroll, HR, H&S reporting, QA, Constructionline management and contracts management. In her free time Bethany loves spending time with her son Arthur, going to the gym, cooking and baking.

Placement Student
Adam joined SCC in May 2024 as our Placement student for 24/25. Adam is currently studying a BSc (Hons) in Energy at Ulster University, and he has a keen interest in conventional and renewable energy systems. In his spare time Adam enjoys cycling, and he enjoys following Formula 1.

BIM/ Revit Technician
Craig joined SCC in March 2024 as our BIM/Revit Technician. Craig graduated from the University of Ulster in 2023 in Architectural Engineering. Craig is a pro at everything software and works across a wide range of projects. In Craig’s spare time he enjoys baking which we have all sampled and can confirm is excellent!

Office Administration
Eva joined SCC in April 2024 as Office Administrator. Before working with SCC, Eva worked for the NHS as a care worker in the community. Eva supports the entire team and works closely with Laura & Bethany to ensure the smooth running of the company. In her spare time Eva spends time with her two young daughters and coming up with healthy recipes to share with her family.
